Meet the Parents
Jojo & Icecream are both big bundles of fluff. They have amazing temperaments, happy to be held and are just big softies. This pair are the two that produced my lovely Rory and i had high hopes for this litter.

Smoke Marten with Vienna markingGenetics
aaB_cchl,cddEeVv
Colour description
JoJo is a Blue Otter sable bunny, with recessive self, Black based and unknown if she has a recessive chocolate gene, her colour is affected by the sable and albino gene making her blue colour stronger at the points and fade across the body, the albino gene is the recessive gene so if paired with a buck who also has the albino gene we may have some REW in the litter. Her colour is dilute and when paired with a dilute buck such as Icecream. they can then only produce dilute. As Jojo is a smoke sable her colour is full with the dominant E however she also has a recessive tort gene. Finally one Vienna gene has given her white nose and feet.

Colour description
Icecream is a Lilac Agouti based bunny, which means he is a chocolate variety, he presents in a standard way, his 2nd C gene is unknown, his colour is lilac which is a diluted chocolate, he has one harlequin gene and one tort gene which is what changes Icecream from a solid lilac bunny to a lilac and fawn Harlequin. Finally one Vienna gene has given all of the white pattern and his blue eyes.

New Born
All eyes stay shut for the first 10-12 days. At first, the babies have no fur so the colour of the skin often dictates the fur colour. However as new borns some colours can develop into different patterns. As the day passes, their skin color gets stronger. We know that we can only get dilute and therefore the dark grey willl be a blue variant and the harli is also looking like a dark grey blue type.
-

Opal or Blue Otter
Eyes: Closed
Skin Colour: Dark grey skin indicates a blue variants as if lilac it would be a lighter grey. The slight pink inside the ears rules out a self bunny and means this will either be a blue otter or an opal. This will become more apparent as the fur grows.
-

BEW
Eyes: Closed but will be blue as known genetics.
Skin colour: Pink all over indicating this baby will be White.
-

Blue Harlequin
Eyes: Closed
Skin Colour: Light slate grey & pink/fawn indicating a blue harlequin. Again Lilac would be alot softer grey & fawn on day one.
-

One Week Old
After just one week, their beautiful coats are starting to appear. We have a couple of obvious colourings, the BEW and Blue Harlequin. The Opal or Otter is now showing clear white inside the ears but no further indication to decipher.
-

Opal or Blue Otter
Eyes: Closed
Fur colour: Fur is a lovely blue colour, with a white tummy and inside the ears. Over the next couple of weeks when the fur grows out we will find banding if an opal or solid blue hair if an otter.
-

BEW
Eyes: Closed but as above we know these will be blue.
Fur colour: Pure white coat with slightly pink ears. This coat is likely to remain white and not develop colour on the points.
-

Blue Harlequin
Eyes: Closed
Fur Colour: We now have distinct Blue and Fawn marking indicating a blue harlequin. The grey is a dark slate colour rather than a dove grey indicating blue over lilac. It is unknown if there is any Vienna Marking.
